6G is emerging not as "5G plus," but as a reimagining of wireless networks. Early concepts emphasize AI-native design, terahertz spectrum, integrated terrestrial–non-terrestrial networks, and sensing that fuses communications with awareness. Unlike past generations, 6G is being built around immersive applications, digital twins, and mission-critical resilience from the start. This session will outline what will be different, what promises 6G holds—ubiquitous coverage, trusted and sustainable networks, and new capabilities for public safety and critical communications—and what challenges remain on the path to deployment.

Takeaway

- 6G is a redesign of networks, not just an upgrade from 5G
- Learn about the opportunities and challenges surrounding 6G
- The promise of 6G includes mission critical resilience and immersive applications
