This is a lunch workshop, presented in collaboration with the Safer Buildings Coalition and the Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association (FFMIA).
Florida is the leading State for requiring and implementing Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems (ERCES). As the result, there are more case studies, lessons learned, developed processes, and a deeper awareness of the advantages and challenges in enforcing and deploying these systems. The recent Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors conference in November of 2023 offered many insights into both the struggles and success stories surrounding ERCES. It was identified that Florida was in need of and ready to host a Florida-centric discussion on ERCES (BDA, In-Building Public Safety Communications, ERRCS, or whatever one might call these systems).
IWCE has generously agreed to host this special workshop March 26th at lunch, to take advantage of the opportunity to directly engage with the Florida Public Safety community since the event is in Orlando.
This highly-interactive workshop will focus on actionable improvements in the area of ERCES in Florida, with the stated goal to “Improve what works, fix what doesn’t.”
This session has been approved by the The Florida Department of Financial Services (FCDICE) for one class-hour of continuing education units (CEUs).
This session has limited seating and is first come, first serve. Please contact [email protected] to claim a spot today.
