As public safety adoption of drone programs grows exponential, so too do the communications needs of these agencies. Having the ability to fly via wireless communications, send video and telemetry back to a command center and share large files becomes critical when responding to 911 calls.
In this session, explore what infrastructure is currently being used (FirstNet, public spectrum, Starlink), types drones & software, and additional sensors that will be coming online in the near future (such as radar and acoustic counter UAS sensors) that will also require data; as well as the upcoming edge computing demands for AI and machine learning.
