Derek Wilson, Operations Manager, Snohomish 911
Derek Wilson is an Operations Manager at Snohomish County 911 (SNO911), one of Washington State's largest consolidated 911 centers. In addition to overseeing daily operations at the 911 center, he manages technology implementations impacting dispatch operations, the Regional Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), and leads the organization's cross-functional AI initiatives.
A strong advocate for leveraging emerging technology in public safety, Derek focuses on practical applications of AI and automation to enhance dispatcher efficiency and improve emergency response outcomes. His work includes custom alert management solutions, development of a cloud-based backup CAD system, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to build and deploy operational applications used daily by SNO911.
