Mike Scherer, Branch Chief, USDOI National Park Service
Mike Scherer is the Communications Branch Chief at Lake Mead National Recreation Area with direct oversight of the Multi-Agency 911-Communications Center and the Land Mobile Radio Program for Lake Mead, Joshua Tree, Mohave, Great Basin, Grand Canyon Parashant and Tule Springs National Park Units. He brings decades of experience in the fields of Communications Technology, Project Management, Site Construction, Dispatch Technology and contract execution. Mike has been heavily involved in the Radio and Communications arena for over 40 years having background from the US Navy Submarine Service, Private Sector site construction and maintenance, Bureau of Land Management Land Mobile Radio and the National Park Service Land Mobile Radio and 911 Dispatching.
