Desiree Arnold, Director, Atlanta Police Department
A native of Atlanta, Director Arnold began her career as a E-911 Operator/Dispatcher. Over a span of 27 years, with dedication, hard work and tenacity, she has risen to the top position within the department. She was promoted to E-911 Director in July 2021, where she is responsible for the overall operations of a center that answers more than 1.2 million calls annually. Director Arnold is a true public servant, and an invaluable leader who is extremely passionate about her mission to meet and exceed all challenges. Throughout her career at E-911, she has worn many hats, and has received numerous awards and accolades; among them being named E-911 Manager of The Year in 2021. Director Arnold is the wife of Atlanta Fire and Rescue Captain Harold Arnold, and they are proud parents and grandparents.
