RF ambient noise over a desired service area has been steadily increasing over the last decade or two. Many times radio system users are not aware how much the RF ambient noise is affecting the performance of their radio system. This noise affects virtually all bands below 500 MHz. Land mobile radio, broadcast, aircraft, marine, telemetry, and a variety of other services are negatively affected by this broadband noise.

Representatives from the broadcast industry, the FCC, computer industry, and land mobile radio will discuss this issue and how it is affecting their operations and what might be possible solutions.

Key Takeaways:
- How big is the problem?
- How do I determine if it is affecting my system?
- Are there solutions to this issue?
- How do I solve individual cases of interference?
