The upcoming FIFA World Cup and LA 2028 Games present massive scale challenges for public safety agencies and venue operations. The Team Awareness Kit (TAK) situational awareness tools developed by the US Department of Defense include vital standards-based, non-proprietary interoperability channels for agencies to exchange real-time geospatial data. The transformative capability is already in use with the New York City Marathon, the North Carolina State Fair, and wildland firefighting efforts. This session explores how major public safety agencies can tackle the upcoming games by deploying TAK for interoperable situational awareness that delivers a Common Operating Picture spanning agencies and venue operations teams.

Takeaway

What is the Team Awareness Kit? How can venue operations be facilitated with accurate real-time geospatial tracking of security, transport, and medical resources? How can joint public safety game task forces securely share information across organizations to create a comprehensive Common Operating Picture?
