So Vang, VP, Emerging Technologies, One Media
So Vang is Vice President of Emerging Technology at ONE Media. With a passion for technology, Mr. Vang has played a key role in driving innovation, standardization and technology adoption for the Broadcasting industry. Prior to this position, he was vice president of Advanced Media Platforms at CableLabs, responsible for directing and managing the OpenCable project, an initiative of the cable television industry. Mr. Vang oversaw the development of the OpenCable specification in cooperation with cable and consumer electronics companies. Mr. Vang was responsible for coordinating the cable business and technical advisory teams in their deliberations aimed at designing an industry standard for next generation digital set-top boxes.
Vang earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.
