Shannon Turbeville is serving his second term as the President of the Lakeland Professional Firefighters Association, which is the labor organization representing the firefighters (160+) serving the City of Lakeland, Florida. He is a Driver Engineer for the City of Lakeland Fire Department, where he has been employed for 24 years. He holds an Associate in Science degree in Fire Science, along with various state certifications, to include: Fire Inspector I & II, Fire Instructor I, Fire Officer I, Fire Investigator I, and Incident Safety Officer. On behalf of the Lakeland Professional Firefighters, Shannon has been actively engaged in advocating for improved firefighter radio signal communications inside buildings within the city where known issues exist.
