Chris Stevens is Managing Director of CartGiS Pty Ltd, an emergency management, GIS and Mapping and communications consultancy company based in Melbourne. Chris has extensive experience in LMR/LTE network design, planning and implementation as well as GIS and mapping application, computer aided dispatch design and commissioning. Chris is an industry leader in systems integration, thinking outside the box and providing client centric outcomes aimed at information sharing and interoperability.  He has held many community roles including the National Lifesaving Communications Advisor to Surf Life Saving Australia and New Zealand and is Vice-President of the Australian Radio Communications Industry Association.

Chris holds three bachelor’s degrees, in Commerce and Computer Science; Applied Science and Education. As a qualified secondary school and TAFE (Vocational) teacher, Chris is responsible for convening in training and education in the critical Communications industry in Australia and New Zealand. Chris is the conference chair and MC for the Comms Connect conference series in Australia and New Zealand.
