Fernando Sommariva is a seasoned engineer, serving as the Director of Research and Development for the "Building Communications Release Train" at Fiplex by Honeywell. With over two decades of experience in the field, Fernando leads a dynamic R&D team specializing in cutting-edge BDAs and Fiber DAS solutions. As a pivotal figure in the industry, Fernando plays a vital role in shaping the product roadmap and lifecycle of Fiplex by Honeywell's offerings. His technical expertise extends to overseeing complex projects, including large-scale in-building Public Safety installations for Metro and Subway systems across the United States. Fernando's portfolio also encompasses highly redundant designs that contribute to Fiplex by Honeywell's reputation for reliability and innovation. Furthermore, Fernando is part of the 2022 Edition of the NFPA 1225 Task Group, and he is part of the RF Subcommittee created by industry leading individuals to influence FCC standards in order to reduce harmful interference that can be caused by the use of Signal Boosters.
