Chuck Schuler, Telecommunications Engineer, Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center
Chuck Schuler is a telecommunications engineer, RF specialist, and public safety practitioner with over two decades of experience in mission-critical communications. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in RF Communications, combining academic depth with field-tested expertise. Chuck spent 12 years with the Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center (SRFECC), where he managed complex multi-site radio networks, dispatch systems, and IP-based backhaul. He is also the founder and owner of Public Safety Innovation, Inc., a company focused on designing, maintaining, and retrofitting mobile communications units for public safety agencies. In addition to his engineering and business work, Chuck has been a Communications Unit Leader (COML) since 2004 and is a qualified Incident Telecommunications Support Specialist (ITSS). He currently serves on California Interagency Incident Management Team 10, bringing real-world operational perspective to technical problem-solving. Chuck’s work sits at the intersection of wireless innovation and field application, advancing resilient, interoperable communications for public safety and incident management nationwide.
