Sam Moser, Senior Advisor, Government Engagement, First Responder Network Authority
Mr. Sam Moser joined the First Responder Network Authority, a government agency under NTIA and Department of Commerce as a Senior Advisor for Department of War (DOW) and National Security (NS) in January 2022. In this role, he is a principal advisor to the DOW and NS for all matters relating to the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network, better known as FirstNet. He assists in understanding the FirstNet assuredness and resiliency to meet the Congressional Public Law mandate to take all actions necessary to ensure the building, deployment, and operation of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network in consultation with Federal, DoD, State, tribal, and local public safety entities and industry. Prior to FRNA, Mr. Moser served as the Deputy Chief Information Officer at the White House Communications Agency with direct senior level interaction with DISA, DOW, industry and federal leadership, and the Presidential Community of Interest made up of the CIO's of the USSS, National Security, White Military Office and WHCA. His strategic and budgetary guidance, technical expertise, consultation, and lifecycle planning enhanced reconfiguration of Presidential, NLCC and C4 communications systems with transformational architectures, systems migration, technical requirements and specifications for immediate and long-range telecommunications services from present to 2035. His tenure of service at the White House began in 1981 and ended when transitioning to FRNA in 2022. For over a half a century his mentoring and partnership has been sought across all levels of government and industry with a consistent message of "We need to be ready for every bad day and scenario" his entire career. Mr. Moser is an ARMY retiree and a government employee to present. He grew up in Arizona near the Yarnell 19 fire disaster.
