Mr. Lunati's career in telecom began in 1988 as a two-way radio field technician in San Diego CA, maintaining police and fire radio systems. In addition, while attending college Matt worked as a broadcast engineer in both radio and television, and has built several ATSC digital class A, B stations. Today Mr. Lunati is still involved in OTA (Over The Air broadcasting). In 2012 Matt relocated to Northern Arizona where he was employed as a microwave and network engineer for a regional cellular carrier, Mr. Lunati deployed 2G, 3G and 4G regional cellular systems. In 2016 Mr. Lunati joined Hytera America as Sales Engineer. While at Hytera, he became well versed in the deployment and system design of Tier II and Tier III DMR systems. In 2020 Matt joined IWA Technical Services Inc. as the company's Senior RF Field Engineer.
Matt received his Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from San Diego State University, in addition, the FCC's GROL and holds the Electronics Technicians Association lever of Masters in RF (CETms(RF). Mr. Lunati is an active amateur radio operator holding an Extra Class license (Call Sign N7OEI). In 2016 was nominated as life member to the ARRL (American Radio Relay League). Mr. Lunati is certified in the practice of PIM and RF line sweeps for LTE, cellular and LMR systems. As a complement to his interests in communications and electronics, Matt has been an active Private Pilot since 1998, and has logged over 1200 hours in various aircraft.
