Gerrit Klein is the Technical Services Manager at the Multi Agency Communications Center (MACC 911) in Grant County, Washington, where he leads public-safety communications technology, CAD administration, and modernization initiatives spanning cloud-native systems, GIS, radio infrastructure, and broadband/LTE field connectivity. With 24 years in public safety - including experience in both dispatch and law enforcement patrol - he focuses on building resilient, scalable communications workflows that support responders under real-world conditions. Gerrit is currently driving LTE/broadband expansion efforts that integrate deployable connectivity, mobile networking, and push-to-talk interoperability to strengthen day-to-day operations and large-incident response. He brings a pragmatic, operations-first perspective to the evolving role of PTT over cellular and tools like ESChat, FirstNet and Dejero.
