Jim Holthaus is currently a consultant to the US Department of Justice, serving as the Wireless and Mobility Subject Matter Expert, Wireless Communications Platforms in the Office of the Chief Information Officer. This role focuses on law enforcement voice communications including P25 LMR and broadband PTT solutions. Jim has been active in the development of Land Mobile Radio products since 1993 and has been the Chair of numerous TIA Technical Committees formulating the P25 Suite of Radio Standards. Jim is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a member of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO), Vice Chair of the P25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG) and Chair of the Telecommunications Industry Association Private Radio Section.
