Mark Hall, COML, Public Safety Communications Consultant
Mark Hall has over 32 years of experience in public safety communications as a firefighter, communications practitioner, instructor and consultant which includes wildland fire, FEMA USAR, National Guard and All-Hazards incidents and exercises. Mark has served as a nationally qualified Communications Unit Leader (COML) since 2003 at the Type 1 complexity level and below and has supported numerous local, regional and national disaster responses.
He has successfully leveraged his practical, point-of-the-spear experience to help public safety organizations with evaluating current practices, identifying gaps and advising them on the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions to meet their needs. Mark is a founding member of the Jefferson County, CO Incident Management Team and lead the development of one of the most well-trained and experienced units in the U.S. Mark is a nationally recognized emergency communications subject matter expert and supports local, state and federal and international programs. Mark has served as Communications Coordinator with various Colorado fire departments since 2006 and has delivered dozens of L969 COML classes across the nation since being a part of the national development working group in 2008.
