Omar Faruk is an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Traffic Engineer, specializing in Connected Vehicle technologies and Transportation Management and Operations (TSM&O) systems. With seven (7) years of experience, Omar has been actively involved with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), contributing to the deployment of technology solutions aimed at improving safety and enhancing mobility. His expertise in Connected Vehicle systems spans program planning, project development, design, and the strategic implementation of components to enable Connected Vehicle functionality. Omar is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida and holds certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.
