Adam Eldert, Director, Public Safety Division, Fairfax County Government
Adam Eldert is currently the Public Safety Division Director in the Department of Information Technology for Fairfax County, Virgina. In this role Adam oversees the management of the County’s critical dedicated wireless communications infrastructure, Public Safety Radio System, ensures interoperability with the 23 localities in the National Capital Region, and ultimately leads a team of applications developers supporting the Police and Fire Departments, Sheriff’s Office, Department of Public Safety Communications, and the Department of Emergency Management and Security. Throughout his career, Adam has served in several roles during his tenure with the County including, but not limited to, Public Safety IT Architect, Radio Services Center Supervisor and Branch Manager, Wireless and Radio Solutions Manager, and Communications Technologies Division Manager.
In addition to his professional tenure with the County, Adam is currently an Adjunct Faculty member of the Emergency Medical Services Department of the Northern Virginia Community College, where he has been teaching Emergency Medical Services for 13 years. Adam also was the Fire Chief and an Advanced Life Support provider for his volunteer fire and rescue department where he served for over 11 years.
Adam holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from Colorado Technical University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from George Mason University.
