Adam Eldert, Director, Public Safety Division - Dept of IT, Fairfax County, VA
Adam Eldert is currently the Public Safety Division Director in the Department of Information Technology for Fairfax County, Virgina. In this role Adam oversees the management of the County’s critical dedicated wireless communications infrastructure, Public Safety Radio System, ensures interoperability with the 23 localities in the National Capital Region, and leads a team of applications developers supporting the Police and Fire Departments, Sheriff’s Office, Department of Public Safety Communications, and the Department of Emergency Management and Security. In addition to his professional tenure with the County, Adam was an Adjunct Faculty member of the EMS Department of the Northern Virginia Community College, where he taught EMS-related classes for 14 years. Adam also was the Fire Chief and an Advanced Life Support provider for his volunteer fire and rescue department. Adam holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from Colorado Technical University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from George Mason University.
