Joe Duvall, Chief of Police - Dallas, GA, Dallas, GA Police Department
Joe Duvall is a seasoned law enforcement professional with thirty-nine years of dedicated service. He has served as Chief of Police for the Dallas Police Department since his appointment in January 2018. Before leading the department in Dallas, he spent thirty-one years with the City of Marietta Police Department, retiring at the rank of Major.
Under his leadership, the City of Dallas has consistently ranked among the top twenty safest cities in Georgia. In 2020, Chief Duvall guided the department in establishing the first 911 center in the state to operate on FirstNet Broadband technology—one of the earliest such implementations in the nation. His forward thinking approach to public safety earned national recognition in 2024 when he became the first police officer in the United States to receive the FirstNet Authority “Patriot” Award.
