Annemarie Domurat, Deputy Director of Emergency Communications, City of Milwaukee, City of Milwaukee Police Department
Annemarie Domurat serves as Deputy Director of Emergency Communications for the City of Milwaukee, where she helps lead the operations that connect people in crisis with the emergency response they need. With more than 20 years of experience in public safety communications, she brings a frontline perspective on the realities of 911 operations — the pressures telecommunicators face, the split-second decisions the work demands, and the critical role information plays in protecting both the public and responding officers. In her role, Ms. Domurat oversees staffing, operations, training, technology and quality assurance for one of Wisconsin's largest emergency communications centers. She has a particular interest in how emerging technology is changing the flow of information available to 911 operators — and how richer, real-time information from people in crisis can strengthen situational awareness and improve outcomes for callers, especially survivors of domestic violence and other high-risk situations. Ms. Domurat is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
