Matthew Crook, Project and Technology Coordinator, Northwest Domestic Crisis Services, Northwest Domestic Crisis Services
For more than fourteen years, Mr. Crook has worked in nonprofit victim services, serving as Coordinator at Northwest Domestic Crisis Services, an organization supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. With a career rooted in frontline advocacy operations, Mr. Crook specializes in bridging the gap between people and technology — translating complex systems into practical solutions that strengthen the daily work of advocates and case managers. Mr. Crook has been recognized for leading organizations through technological change without losing sight of the people doing the work. He championed his agency's transition into a digitally integrated environment, developing workflows that improved efficiency and reduced administrative burden, and serves as the primary technology resource for staff, providing troubleshooting, end-user support, and guidance on technology adoption. He coordinated the implementation and deployment of the NightWatch safety device within agency operations, supporting staff adoption and integrating the technology into service delivery practice. Mr. Crook designs and facilitates training on technology use, cybersecurity awareness, and operational practice, and presents educational content through regional and statewide conferences and webinars for multidisciplinary audiences. He cultivates collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders to strengthen service coordination and expand organizational impact. Mr. Crook previously served as Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice Program at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, and served for more than a decade in the United States Army and Army National Guard in communications and logistics roles. Mr. Crook completes annual continuing education in victim advocacy, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
