Shawn Cochran, Deputy Chief, Operations and Emergency Management Division, Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau, Federal Communications Commission
Mr. Cochran supervises a team of engineers, attorneys, communications technicians, analysts, and operations specialists responsible for assessing telecommunications systems and radio frequency (RF) spectrum in support of national security, law enforcement, and public safety initiatives. In this role, he leads the FCC’s operational teams supporting National Special Security Events and Special Event Assessment Rating level 1 events, including the Presidential Inauguration, national conventions, Super Bowl competitions, FIFA World Cup 2026, and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
