Mette Carstensen is the CEO and co-founder of Augmented Hearing, a company developing real-time AI speech enhancement for mission-critical communications. An expert in psychoacoustics and human speech perception, her work focuses on augmenting human hearing in complex acoustic environments, with emphasis on reliability, low latency, and operational use in public safety settings.

She holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, specializing in machine learning, psychoacoustics, and auditory signal processing. Mette works closely with public safety agencies and technology partners in Europe and the United States to translate applied AI research into operationally deployed systems.
