Chris Baker is a senior public safety advisor for the First Responder Network Authority. He retired as a career Battalion Chief/Paramedic and Investigator from Roseville (CA) Fire Department with assignments in operations, investigations, administration, technology, homeland security, and safety, and led public safety technology projects and held operational and communications roles on large incidents and incident management teams. Prior to his full-time career in the fire service, Chris served as a wireless engineer designing and optimizing cellular networks, design tools, and training RF engineers. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical and electronic engineering, Juris Doctor, and is a registered professional engineer and member of the State Bar in California. Chris remains active in the California fire service as Division Chief of Training at the Graeagle (CA) Fire Protection District, fire academy instructor, and Civil Air Patrol pilot. Chris is a member of the IWCE Advisory Board.
