Federal department and agencies are adopting open-source WearTak at a high rate based on demand from the latest generation of first responders who are interested in wearable devices. The WearTAK system represents a significant shift by moving critical TAK (Tactical Assault Kit) functionality from a bulky, chest-mounted smartphone to a streamlined smartwatch.
