Managing a successful drone program requires far more than flying aircraft. The UAS Program Managers Course at IWCE 2027 is an intensive, instructor-led professional development program designed for current and aspiring drone program leaders across public safety, government agencies, critical infrastructure, security, and commercial industries. Delivered over 8 hours across two days, this comprehensive course provides the knowledge, tools, and leadership strategies needed to build, manage, and sustain a safe, compliant, and effective UAS program.

Participants will learn proven approaches to program development, training program design, Safety Management Systems (SMS), incident reporting and organizational learning, UAS maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, operational governance, stakeholder collaboration, software ecosystem considerations, and team awareness and accountability. Students will gain practical insights from experienced UAS professionals who have successfully built and managed drone programs in complex operational environments.

This is not a collection of stand-alone presentations or come-and-go conference sessions. The UAS Program Managers Course is a structured learning experience that guides participants through the critical components of successful program management from start to finish. Attendees will leave with actionable knowledge, best practices, templates, and resources that can be immediately applied to strengthen existing programs or launch new ones with confidence.
