Land Mobile Radio to Broadband PTT/MCPTT interoperability has gained significant traction over the past few years. Using both gateway-based and wireline technologies, public safety agencies are augmenting traditional LMR networks, and providing users a new dimension in mission critical communication. ESChat recently announced completion of ISSI integration into the LA-RICS network, providing full featured encrypted P25 interoperability with over 800 Talkgroups to public safety agencies across Los Angeles County.
Now, EFJohnson has launched Viking Broadband Voice, powered by ESChat. Available on the Viking VP8000 portable and VM8000 mobile radios. Viking Broadband Voice builds on the inter-system interoperability architecture, providing public safety users mission critical hardware that can operate over RF (P25, DMR, NXDN, Analog) as well as Broadband networks, and high-power off-network direct-mode communications.

Takeaway

  • Understand where wireline interoperability is available, the economics and scalability.
  • Learn how Viking Broadband Voice adds a new layer of redundancy and expands LMR coverage to a global footprint.
  • Learn about Cybersecurity frameworks that are now required across all levels of government.
