Amazon LEO satellite services allow for high-speed broadband connectivity for remote areas or a backup to primary connections that are private connections, that never touch the public internet, enabling uses in regulated industries that have historically not been possible. This opens options for SCADA, DCS, ICS, and other systems to leverage satellite connections and achieve resilient, high speed, connections in areas that were historically unreachable or not cost effective. We will walk through architecture and details the solution and how it can work in energy use cases

Takeaway

1) New solutions allow for secure private link satellite connectivity
2) Solutions are industry compliant and can act as primary or secondary connections
3) These solutions open up expansion of bandwidth (up to 2000x more than LTE solutions) and cost effectiveness (up to 95% cheaper than current LTE/5G transmission costs per GB).
