Sidelink - From Standards to Deployment
Sidelink technology, as developed in the 3GPP standards process, provides the foundation for connectivity in the wireless world when conditions such as remote, challenging environments lack infrastructure, or in areas such as deep inside buildings, subways, and tunnels prevent use of critical broadband communications.
This panel will discuss the current state of affairs related to sidelink including technology development, regulatory issues, and how sidelink is being actively pursued in non-US markets.
Takeaway
2. Status reports on regulatory issues that impact potential deployment of sidelink technology
3. Status of international efforts to deploy sidelink
4. Identify areas in which public support is needed to advance the implementation of sidelink
