"I Built That Myself": AI in Everyday Public Safety
As recently as few years ago, it seemed that coders, programmers, and computer engineers had superpowers (most still do). Public Safety Agencies have always relied on our vendor community to solve ALL of our technology problems. This panel is a practical look at what happens when regular public safety folks — not software developers — start using AI to build and troubleshoot the tools they need. Walk through real projects: mapping and situational awareness integrations, data feeds, small utilities, and full-on applications with server software that solved actual operational problems. Examine what worked, what broke, and what it cost in time.
Takeaway
Attendees will leave with a realistic sense of where these tools help, where they create risk, and how to get started on a small project without getting over their skis.
