Eddie Reyes  (Regional Program Manager, Peraton - NCIS LInX)
Track: IoT and Automation
Format: Power Session
Vault Recording: TBD

While body-worn cameras have become common place for public safety, there has been quite a hubbub about smart surveillance cameras and automated license plate readers, especially when it comes to data management. In addition, CCTV, drones, sensors, and access control - mostly through cameras - have all become more widely used. Hear about the operating models, governance structures, regulatory and physical requirements, and cross-agency coordination effort for these automated systems. Examine the importance of human oversight of the networks as well as redundancy planning, backup and network failover strategies and risk-based mitigation recommendations.

Takeaway

Learn about the different uses for automated camera systems.

Understand the technology and personnel requirements and regulations for these systems.

Explore inter-agency coordination among these systems.
