David Witkowski is an author, advisor, and strategist who works at the intersection between local government and the telecommunications industry. David is the Founder & CEO of Oku Solutions LLC, a Fellow in the Radio Club of America, and an IEEE Senior Member. After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and earning his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, he held leadership roles for companies ranging from Fortune 500 multi-nationals to early-stage startups. He serves as Co-Chair of the Deployment Working Group at IEEE Future Networks, as Executive Director of the Civic Technologies Initiative at Joint Venture Silicon Valley, as Senior Advisor for Broadband Deployment for the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership, as a member of the Connected Communities Forum in the Wireless Broadband Alliance, and as an Expert Advisor to the California Emerging Technology Fund.
