Tim Trager brings a unique combination of knowledge and experience to the public safety communications system enterprise. Tim’s knowledge base and experience spans over 30 years in the emergency communications environment. Tim Trager has served in progressively responsible positions ranging from basic communications system installation and maintenance to advanced supervisory and senior project and applied management positions in both large and small governmental telecommunication service institutions. Tim also has experience as a First Responder, having served in the California Fire Service for nearly 20 years. Tim’s subject matter expertise extends to the operational, technical, policy and financial aspects of conventional and trunked wireless systems operating in either analog or digital formats, mobile broadband connectivity, dispatch center configurations, communication tower height determination and justification, in-building wireless signal enhancement, as well as communication system and network disaster preparedness with an emphasis in survivability and recovery practices. Tim holds a B.S. in Public Administration from the University of La Verne in California. Tim Trager is also a Past President of the California Public Safety Radio Association and is an Association of Public Safety Communications Officials Senior Chapter Member.
