David B. Smith is the Executive Vice President and CEO of Forest Industries Telecommunications. Mr. Smith manages a national nonprofit association dedicated to advocating for private wireless two-way radio users everywhere. He has been involved in FCC certified frequency coordination and regulatory efforts for the past quarter century. David Smith now serves as the president of the NWCC (formerly the LMCC). Mr. Smith has chaired frequency advisory committee meetings regarding Part 90 protocols to improve coordinator processing and understanding of centralized trunking. He feels that "improving spectrum management should be the central goal for all agencies involved in the process." In 2018 David was recognized by the LMCC for his leadership.
