Kathleen Slattery Thompson, Deputy Director, NG-911 Institute
Kathleen Slattery Thompson is the Deputy Director of the NG911 Institute and an Associate at Keller and Heckman LLP.
In her role as Deputy Director of the NG911 Institute, Kathleen assists the Institute in educating Congressional Staff Members and working with the Congressional NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus to promote the deployment of advanced and effective 9-1-1 and Next Generation 9-1-1 (collectively, NG911) services throughout the nation. In this capacity, Kathleen also serves as a co-chair of the Federal Communications Bar Association’s Public Safety and Emergency Communications Committee.
At Keller and Heckman, Kathleen assists corporate clients, trade associations, critical infrastructure companies, and commercial providers with licensing, regulatory, and transactional matters before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and courts and state agencies.
Prior to joining Keller and Heckman and the NG911 Institute, Kathleen worked for government agencies, associations, and the United States House of Representatives and Senate, where she gained experience in telecommunications, consumer protection, privacy, and intellectual property law. While working in the United States Senate, she successfully helped to advance legislation from origination to final Senate passage.
