Rodney Reed is the Assistant Chief of Operational Support for the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, with over 17 years’ public safety experience. He earned a Bachelors’ degree in Communications and Masters in Emergency Management Services. He holds various certifications including a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), State-Certified COM-L, TCFP Arson Investigator, Firefighter, HazMat Technician, and international instructor. He is a member of Texas A&M Task Force 1, one of the 26 designated FEMA USAR Teams. He is also a member on the DHS First Responders Resource Group and member of the Environmental Crimes committee of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
