Kim Mirabella, Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Sales, Verizon
A 22 year veteran with Verizon, Kim Mirabella is the Director of Sales for the Southern United States. Kim is leading the Government Sales Team focused solely on serving the Public Sector. This includes State and Local Government, Public Safety, K-12 & Higher Education and Non-Profits. By partnering with public agencies, her team solves everyday business challenges through a myriad of strategic solutions including: Smart Phone applications, IoT (internet of things), Mobile Device Management, Fleet Management, One Talk, Security applications and more..... Kim and team have deep expertise in the K-12 Public Education space as well as Emergency Management. She was most recently awarded the Verizon "All-In" award, an employee nominated recognition program.
In her previous assignment, Kim was Director of FiOS Consumer Sales and Service for the Mid-Atlantic Region; 7 call centers in NJ, PA, MD and WV. Kim led and inspired her organization to achieve outstanding customer service, while balancing growth and profitability for FiOS sales and service. By focusing on leadership development and a strong balance between culture and accountability, she led her team to the #1 spot in the country, earning President's Club in 2016.
Prior to this assignment, Kim was a Sr. Consultant Process Engineering for the VLSS (Verizon Lean Six Sigma). While in this role, Kim successfully led a team to re-engineer progresses for Verizon, saving the company over $5M in costs. Before VLSS, Kim was the Employee Engagement Manager for the Florida Region, driving key leadership initiatives and programs such as Service Elite, Region Recognition, Boot Camp for Leaders and more...Prior to that, she was a FiOS Marketing Manager where she devised marketing plans and launched multiple successful marketing programs and campaigns which resulted in record sales growth in 2013.
Before coming to Verizon Telecom, Kim was a Regional Sales Manager for Verizon Enterprise Solutions (formerly Verizon Business) where she won two Master's Club trips for her sales team's performance. Prior to joining the company, she spent 9 years in Sales and Marketing for a Fortune 100 Company, winning numerous awards for sales performance. In addition, Kim is a Verizon Excellence Finalist, a member of HSO (Hispanic Service Organization) executive steering committee for WOW (Women of the World), and is part of the Leadership Development Program, LEAP. She enjoys public speaking and taking on challenging leadership roles. A Tampa native, Kim is a graduate of the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a minor in Marketing. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family. Kim is married and has a son in law school at Cornell University and a daughter who is studying for her doctorate at University of South Florida.
