Sgt. Jason Matthews, Emergency Management Bureau Sergeant, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, FL

Sgt. Jason Matthews is an All-Hazards Communications Unit Leader (COML) and Incident Management Team (IMT) Leader from the State of Florida. He currently works with local public safety agencies and organizations in the central Florida region. He brings 22 years of experience in disaster communications, planned events, and full scale exercise
support.

Jason is a veteran of law enforcement, credentialed communications unit instructor, and instructor trainer for FEMA Emergency Management Institute (EMI), and the DHS Emergency Communications Division. Jason serves as vice chair of the interoperability committee for NPSTC, and Secretary/Executive Board for NRPC.
