Lori Markham has been the Executive Director of SREC since September 2019. She joined the agency after more than 10 years with the City of Spokane Fire Department, where she began her career as a Fire Communications Specialist in the Spokane Fire Combined Communication Center.  Throughout her career with the fire service, she promoted into various positions and in 2017 was appointed as the Acting Division Chief, filling that position until her official move to SREC on July 1 as the Deputy Director. Lori was an instructor with the Washington State Criminal Justice Commission for 11 years, teaching a variety of Telecommunicator classes throughout the region, a role she was passionate about as it allowed her to support and develop people. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Eastern Washington University and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. Lori was named Executive Director for SREC on September 1, 2019.
