Mr. Marani is the Director of Field Technologies for Global Medical Response (GMR), which encompasses brands including American Medical Response, Air Medical Group Holdings, Rural Metro Fire, and Lifeguard Ambulance. Mr. Marani's team is responsible for deployment, maintenance and innovative development of field communications, GPS, LTE and satellite technology across a nationwide enterprise of ground and air operations. As a COML, he functions as the Communications Section Chief for GMR's Office of Emergency Management and has played a role in the incident command structure for every hurricane and natural disaster deployment since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He is passionate about the advances in PoC and integrating it with RF technology and LMR systems where appropriate. As a paramedic, captain and technology liaison for a small suburban fire department also, Mr. Marani understands the unique technological challenges faced by smaller municipalities. Mr. Marani calls the suburbs of Boston home with his fiancée and their 11-year-old daughter.
