Lee Ann Magoski is the Director of Emergency Communications Department for the County of Monterey (CA) since 2019 and is currently the NENA 1st Vice President. She has worked at four agencies, starting as a Dispatcher, and working her way to the Director's position. Throughout her 29-year career she has developed experience in operations, administration, and technology. She served on the CALNENA Executive board from 2016 to 2022 and during her tenure on the CALNENA board she became involved with legislative advocacy at the state level to recognize telecommunicators. More recently she has worked on 9-1-1 and 988 interactions by participating in the NENA workgroup at the national level as well as various presentations and meetings in California. She has held Emergency Number Professional (ENP) certification since 2010. She received a bachelor’s degree in management and a master's degree in leadership from Saint Mary's College of California.
