Britt Lewis, Senior Vice President, Direct Sales and Business Development, Inmarsat Government
Mr. Britt Lewis is Senior Vice President of Direct Sales and Business Development for Inmarsat Government Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inmarsat Group Holdings Limited, the world’s leading provider of global mobile satellite communications to the United States government.
Mr. Lewis is responsible for providing leadership, direction and resource stewardship to Inmarsat Government’s sales and business development function. As the organization’s senior-most sales leader, Mr. Lewis is accountable for overall sales and business development, the profitable achievement of sales goals and aligning sales and business development objectives with firm business strategy. In this capacity, Mr. Lewis leads business growth initiatives targeting the Department of Defense, Intelligence, Federal, Civilian and State government segments delivering mission-critical services, products and solutions.
An award-winning industry leader with over 35 years of experience, Mr. Lewis has a proven track record in sales and business development, business strategy, market and competitive intelligence and product and marketing management.
Prior to joining Inmarsat Government, Mr. Lewis served as the Director of Business Strategy for Intelsat. In that role, Mr. Lewis directed strategic planning and provided leadership in the development of new market opportunities for business growth and expansion. For over a decade, Mr. Lewis led the marketing, business development and strategic planning efforts of Intelsat General Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Lewis served as the Business Line Director for Government and the Business Development Director at Intelsat Global Service Corp.
Mr. Lewis holds a B.A. in Economics, with a specialization in International Commerce, from Kalamazoo College, as well as a technical certification in Computer Programming and Operations. He has also completed Executive Education Programs in Strategic Management as well as Strategic Marketing Management.
