Alana Lake, Counterintelligence Officer , Idaho National Laboratory
Alana Lake, Counterintelligence Officer, joined the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) in 2023 and brings a background rooted in counterintelligence, national security, law enforcement, counterterrorism, and counter-threat operations. Alana is a veteran of the United States Air Force where she served for 10 years as a Special Agent with the Department of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI). OSI provides federal law enforcement and counterintelligence services; protects critical technologies and information, detects and mitigates threats, provides global specialized services, conducts major criminal investigations, and engages foreign adversaries and threats offensively. Alana held assignments within OSI both stateside and deployed, leading counterintelligence and counter-threat teams for the Air Force in Kuwait, Colorado, South Korea, Iraq, and Idaho. She served in various roles to include Counterintelligence Chief, Chief Operations Officer, and was hand-selected four times to lead her units as the Commander. She is currently a reserve OSI Special Agent serving as the commander to OSI’s federal counterintelligence and law enforcement team at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.
