Steve Krigbaum is a senior application engineer at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc., (SEL). Before joining SEL, he served as the emergency communications systems manager for Whitman County, Washington. Steve’s career in public safety radio began in 1972 at the age of 16, when he successfully repaired a fire engine radio. With over 50 years of experience in radio communications management and as a volunteer firefighter, Steve has dedicated his career to enhancing public safety radio systems. For 15 years, he was responsible for designing and managing the Whitman County radio network infrastructure, ensuring reliable dispatch support for all emergency services across 2,178 square miles.
