Noah G. Jaehnert is a technology and cybersecurity executive based in Indianapolis, Indiana, who integrates his passion for innovation in IT and cybersecurity with his dedication to public safety as a firefighter and emergency medical technician.

As the Director of Technology and Logistics for Vernon Township Fire Department (VTFD) in Hancock County, Indiana (just east of Indianapolis), Noah brings over 15 years of experience in technology and fire/emergency services to serve one of Indiana’s fastest-growing communities.

At VTFD, Noah leads initiatives to implement innovative technology solutions, optimize operational response capabilities, and ensure the department is secure, efficient, and prepared for the challenges of modern public safety. Noah also serves as a department firefighter, advanced emergency medical technician, fire instructor, inspector, investigator, and safety officer, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the VTFD team and the community VTFD serves.

Prior to joining VTFD, Noah was the Director of Emerging Technology for the State of Indiana’s Integrated Public Safety Commission (IPSC), the State agency statutorily charged with ensuring interoperable communications across Indiana and supporting, managing, and maintaining the statewide Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T 700/800 MHz public safety radio system.

At IPSC, Noah served as the state’s expert on cutting-edge public safety communication technologies. He collaborated with local, state, and federal agencies to advance interoperability and lower costs by implementing new and innovative communications technologies into their overall strategies such as Land Mobile Radio to Long Term Evolution (LMR to LTE) and P25 over Broadband solutions (such as Motorola’s SmartConnect).

In addition to his work in emerging technologies, Noah also served as IPSC’s internal IT and Cybersecurity director, leading the agency’s technology/cybersecurity strategies and acting as the chief liaison with the Indiana Office of Technology.

Prior to transitioning to public safety technology, Noah held senior leadership roles in IT, cybersecurity, and compliance across various industries including a healthcare venture accelerator/studio, hospitality technology/software as a service, healthcare IT, automotive remarketing, and cybersecurity consulting.

By bridging his experience in technology and cybersecurity leadership with his passion for public safety, Noah has developed a unique ability to integrate advanced technology systems with real-world emergency operations. Whether driving innovation in enterprise environments or enhancing first responder readiness through technology, Noah’s focus has always been on enabling people, processes, and technology to work together towards a safer, more secure and resilient future.
