Neil Horden has over 40 years of experience in wireless communications, spanning many technologies and markets from deployment of traditional LMR to product management and technology strategy in the cellular and connected portable computer markets. As Principal Consultant for Horden Technologies, he supports the Public Safety and wireless communications markets with technical and procurement assistance. In his previously position as Chief Consultant for a nationwide consulting firm, Mr. Horden has led efforts in the design and analysis of systems including; statewide networks, local public safety deployments, and systems supporting education, healthcare, utility and transportation enterprises. His other experience includes work in technology strategy development and product management for Motorola. Mr. Horden was part of the team that first launched the Nextel ESMR iDEN network in California and other west coast markets. He is a member of the Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APCO) previously serving on their Commercial Advisory Council, served as the first independent Director and later a board member of the Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG), was a Board Member of the Next Generation 9-1-1 Institute, and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Mission Critical Communications Magazine. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and an MBA from the University of California. He was previously Chief Engineer for WMPH-FM and WXDR-FM (now WVUD), and was an EMT and Cardiac Rescue Technician in the State of Delaware.
