James Holthaus, Subject Matter Expert, Wireless Communications Platforms, US Department of Justice, Justice Management Division
Jim Holthaus is currently serving as a Subject Matter Expert supporting the Department of Justice’s Wireless Communications Platforms team. Focusing on Law Enforcement communication solutions.
In 13 years at BK Technologies, Jim served in various roles including Chief Technology Officer where he was responsible for the research and development team. As Sr. Vice President Project 25 Solutions and Marketing, Jim owned the P25 Product roadmap.
In 14 years at EF Johnson Technologies, Jim served in various roles including Sr. Technical Marketing Manager where he owned the product roadmap for P25 radios and accessories, focused on US Federal government customers. Jim also served in various engineering roles relating to the development of Land Mobile Radio products
In 2 years at Murata Communications Research, Jim worked on the design and development of IS-95 digital cellular handsets
For 7 years at Texas Instruments, Jim worked on the design and development of airborne radar systems for US DoD customers.
Jim earned the Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Jim is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
