Deputy Chief John Hart is a twenty-eight year veteran with extensive command, operational and investigative experience. Chief Hart is currently the Executive Officer of the Intelligence Bureau
Prior assignments in Intel include running the Public Security Section which includes the Threats, Dignitary Protection, International and Domestic Liaison and Incident Prevention Units. He also was the Citywide Field Intelligence Coordinator as a Captain
Chief Hart was the Commanding Officer of the 17th, 46th and Midtown North NYPD police precincts and his executive operational experience includes numerous high profile events in NYC including Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter protests, the 2015 Pope visit, the 2016 Presidential Election and numerous United Nations General Assemblies.
Chief Hart is a 2017 Graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School Senior Leaders in State and Local Government Seminar and a 2013 Graduate of the Columbia University Police Management Institute.
